Hmmm...if I get this right, I can add 32 instances of D-Verb instead of the other plugins and still be recording <1 mins.

I guess I'll have to buy an enclosure with both USB 2 and FW to be sure.
Or, I was thinking about buying one of those PC-CARD Firewire solutions, thus expanding the number of FW ports....

Well, I did it.
I bought the Inspiron 8600 1,7 1024 MB RAM with all the bells and whistles.
It hurts my wallet - about 4,025 USD - but I think I will have a big smile when I run...
