So confused….

The clearly marked SHIFT, CONTROL, COMMAND and ALT keys used to work. And I didn’t really have to do much, if anything at the time to use them. I’m talking - plug in my S3, install...

Back in February last year, Alex said you had found this big and it was being fixed - but the bug Alex found still remains. I have included a screen shot from his reply, in this thread.

I’m assuming it’s just keyboard. Using the avid config app for the S1. Bottom left buttons. I choose “key” in settings - not Eucon. It’s in the video I posted.

Let’s take Cubase / steinberg out...

This is nothing to do with steinberg. Softkeys functionality no longer works in finder or anywhere else it used to. The other users in this post and others with the same problem may not be using...

Who knows. So annoying though. I’ve even been told in my thread to ask Steinberg…. I’ve given up and gotten used to using my keyboard again.

I’m not sure steinberg have a command for just the “control” key but I’ll ask. Weird how it happened right after I uploaded the avid Eucon software. I haven’t touched Cubase.

They also don’t work...

Hmm. Yeah I’m positive. (Though I am doubting myself now…).

When I loaded up config to see why they weren’t working - thought maybe with the update they’d been wiped - all the soft keys were still...

Hi Eddie, apologies for the delay - I’ve been Ill. Thx v much for your help and patience!

It’s not actually commands - it’s just the soft keys - “key” as in Shift, Control etc. (as per images.)

The most infuriating part in all this, is all I did is upgrade the software! It was working perfectly before that!

In my Eucon config there is a softkeys section. This used to hold...

Aw man. I’m the opposite - my fingers just reach for the command keys by themselves - dead handy for copy pasting or zoom in out n stuff.

To upgrade or not upgrade. That is the question! Risk...

I’m still just on High Sierra 10.13.2. Couple vids (just in case I’m doing it wrong if you guys have it working!)

Thx mate.

Just the soft keys Shift, Command, CTRl, Alt. They save in Eucon config but don’t do anything.

Eucon functions work fine (Mixer, Grid Snap on / off, punch in / out etc.)

Hi all,

I’ve just set up an S1 and Dock (previously had S3 and had same problem).

I can’t get any key commands to work (Control, Shift, Command etc). No matter what button I try to set “key”...
