Great news for XP HD users from Cranesong.........

Cranesong has just released a 20 day demo of their highly regarded analog tube/tape saturation plug in available for win xp tdm. Unless I'm mistaken, it's the first high quality plug in of it's kind...

It suprises me that you would choose the DAC-1 over the Hedd. From reading everyone's raves at GS, I was under the impression that the Hedd's a/d/a was top notch.

Has anyone compared the 192\'s d/a to the DAC-1\'s??

well, the word from Sony is that the tdm xp version only works on pt 6.1 or newer. I'm on 5.3.3 so the mystery is solved. I ordered my 6.1 pt from digi this weekend. I just hope it gets here...

I bought it from a dealer on cdr. It is the older version that is authorized via a challenge response method. I did it as I've done before and everything appeared to install and auth ok....

Ok, so I get my shiney new cd with the Sony Oxford eq w gml today. I install it without a hitch and authorize it. Then I opened up a session at tried to check out the plug in, but I got a DAE error...
