Re: Report on the Mbox high pitch noise
I have experienced the same noise and somebody on this group said I should wait for the update to Pro-Tools for the G5 MP (which I have). Since I couldn't run Pro-Tools, I use the MBox with Itunes...

Re: Sloooowww Playback
Slim,
I don't have digital devices hooked up to the AMIII and to be honest, I can't remember what I changed. Certainly not the clock. This happened once when I tried running iTunes. As soon as I...

Re: Sloooowww Playback
Frank, you're a genious. I set the clock from s/pdf to internal and the problem was solved. By the way, I tried starting and stopping the transport with the space bar to no avail. I didn't mention...

Every once and a while I'll change a setting in Pro Tools and suddenly everything plays back at about one quarter speed. Not only in Pro Tools but all Mac sounds including alerts. My solution has...

Re: CD Burner?
I agree. Get the SCSI. I use a Plextor 12/10/32s and record everything (music and data) at 12x. Hundreds of CDs and no problems. Time is money.

Re: S/PDIF delay
Thanks. Is there any way to combine my two digital sources so I can feed the signal as stereo into the AudiomediaIII board?

I have two questions:
1. When I record from microphone into my DBX376 compressor and use the S/PDIF output into the S/PDIF input of my AudiomediaIII board, there is a small delay when the sound...

Re: OS 9.1 and older computers ?!?
I found the booklett titled Digi Toolbox XP quick start guide. On the bottom of page 6 it says to set the number of colors to 256 if you have a 9600. Then on page 33 under "Using an older Macintosh?"...

Re: OS 9.1 and older computers ?!?
I can't find my documentation right now, but I believe that when I got my PT 5.1 LE upgrade it came with a Toolbox booklett that had instructions on how to install and set up PT. So there wasn't any...

Re: OS 9.1 and older computers ?!?
I'm using a 9600/200, OS 9.1 and PT 5.1 LE. Audiomedia III card, Adaptec Ultra SCSI and Plextor 12x10x32 external to burn CDs. Toast 4.2, not MLCD. No freezes like I used to get with OS 9.01. I left...
