Buying PT 10

A friend of mine has decided to sell his PT 10 since he no longer needs it. Deciding it might be time to move from 7.4.2 to 10 I want to buy it. Problem is he doesn't have to dongle for it any more....

Okay so it worked for the track I was working on that only had 2 vocal tracks, but the main track I wanted to work on kept crashing. 3/4 the process PT would crash and it would not create the ptf....

Did you get any resolution to this? I'm having the same problem when saving a copy from 10 to 7 it works 3/4 of the way freezes then crashes.

never mind I got it... the auth for 7.4.2 was the same auth for 7.4..:D

7.4.2 works just fine in Snow Leopard

new imac and compatibility

Right now i have a macbook with leopard 10.5.8 running PT 7.4.2. I dont want to move to PT 8. Im going to purchase a new imac and it comes with snow leopard 10.6.x, now please correct me if I'm wrong...

you might wanna check yur drive to see if its formatted for ntfs or fat32. i believe fat32 max file it can hold is 4gb and if yur 4 tracks are exceeding 4gb it might cause it to say full. ntfs format...

whats funny about it is every1 dogs on the way its being used, which for example (T-Pain etc..) is not being used to correct the key. It's really an effect. There are plenty of artist that use it...

Help. I converted some Apple loops so that I can use them in PT. and the song I created in Garage Band when tried in PT all the loops are in a very slow tempo and they are all off from each other....

when it does that trash all digi databases, power down the computer. (if yur power cord is attached then disconnect it) power back up and when u arm enable it should be normal now. then u can plug...

yeah I like to use the on the fly method with the CMD key and space bar. :-).....you can always trim if u punch in to early and punch out to late..

On Windows XP:

Deleting Digidesign Databases:
1. On the root level of every mounted hard drive, go into the Digidesign Databases folder and delete the "Volume.ddb" and "WaveCache" files.

Trash the Digidesign Database files on each hard drive also, Flush and reboot , Relaunch PT and you should be fine.:-)

use this to delete everything
