We’ll it’s only doing this on certain actions. If I try to copy a region I’ll have to press alt otherwise it won’t copy it, for example. What do you mean by checking the modifier keys? Cheers.

EDIT: I found the solution. For anyone out there experiencing the same issue, this might be helpful: uninstall (completely, not just deleting) Avid Link and re-install it and clean its cache.

What can we expect, realistically from a version of Pro Tools that runs natively on Apple silicon chips, rather than Rosetta 2?
Any guesses?

Perhaps a smoother GUI, more track plugin count..?...

Temporary beachball freezes still occur and graphic glitches like a black 'boxes' on the edit window still happen as well. The latter issue goes away when I zoom in and out. ...

Did you get it sorted after installing 2021.7? I was having the same trouble so I reverted back to 2021.3.1. I'm willing to give .7 a try today.

Rolled back to 2021.3 on my M1 mac-mini. Pretty embarrassing when the unsupported version works far, far better than the supported one.

that's correct, however, according to UA, it works.

The 'cheap' option here would be fixing my iMac's GPU and carry on for a few more months or however long it's going to take until the M1s are 100% compatible with PT and the majority of plugins.

All valid points.

So the interface(s) are an Apollo 8XP and an Apollo Twin MK2. I'd buy the 16GB model and no, I'm not into a lot of VIs - I'm mostly mixing.

I know a lot has been talked about regarding this topic but I found myself in the middle of a conundrum. My old iMac just died (GPU) and I don't think it'll be worth to repair it....
