Re: Routing Audio/Bussing to master fader PT8.0.3

BTW, I suggest you avoid using any plugins on any "submaster" AUX tracks because there is now plugin latency correction on your ancient version of Pro Tools(I believe that feature was added at PT 9):o

Re: Routing Audio/Bussing to master fader PT8.0.3

Create a stereo AUX track.
Set its input to any available stereo bus.
Set the output of all tracks(except the guitar) to feed that stereo bus.
That will make all the other instruments pass thru...

Re: Using output 3/input3 on my Focusrite to send/return

The noise you describe certainly sounds like feedback, and I suspect a feedback loop is happening. Give that the Focusrite probably has some routing utility going on in the background, I'd start by...

Re: how to get to 16 channels?

;I am not a big fan of using a full-blown interface as an expander for another full-blown interface. The reason being all the extra software needed to make it work(yes, I have done it in the past)....

Re: Using onboard digital keyboard sounds for MIDI sounds

No, Peripherals is not where you setup keyboards. That happens under Setup>Midi>Midi Instruments. The crucial setting there is the INPUT PATH so Pro Tools knows where to "look for" incoming midi...

Re: Sluggish performance with lots of tracks/edits

Hmmm, loads of people doing way more stuff than you and they have little to no issues. I work on 60-70 track mixes on a 6 year old PC and don't have sluggish performance(no, I'm not suggesting PC is...

Re: What's the Transfer Record button appear like?

As I re-read the original, I realized I may have been on the wrong path. It sounds like you are just starting out so there is a ton to learn. Your best approach is to hit youtube and type something...

Re: What's the Transfer Record button appear like?

ITs not really a function in either window(MIX or EDIT) but its a checkbox to tell PT how to address hard drives(it might be found on the Workspace page, but I'm not sure as I have not seen or used...

Re: Pro Tools wont launch.. Buffer size problem

2 things to consider:
1-I've been running Pro Tools since 2003(version 6:p) and have never seen a 192 buffer setting available. 128 and 256, but never anything in between.
2-ASIO4ALL is more of a...

Re: how to get to 16 channels?

Any 8 channel lightpipe preamp will work at 44.1 and 48K. To get to 96K, the preamp needs SMUX capability(which uses 2 lightpipes, 4 channels each). If you work at 48K(like me), then you can get 24...

Re: Midi not recording properly

Hmmm, assuming you are recording to a MIDI track and you have MIDI MERGE enabled(which would make sense)? Some might be due to sustain info(which has been known to have an issue in the past). My...

I'll try to answer what I can:
1. Crossfade between clips - If I overlap 2 clips I need to tap a key to make them crossfade. WHY? Is there an option to auto crossfade the clips? Different people...

Re: Dark Mode + Volume

Hmmmm, Once again, I'll recommend one of 2 things;
1-buy the "real" version of Pro Tools so you don't keep smashing your head against the wall over things PTF doesn't do. Or.....
2-use a different...

Re: Pro Tools not maxing out CPU?

A couple of things to remember:
1-the cpu usage metering in Pro Tools is sketchy at best.
2-the speed of a bounce to disk can vary widely depending on what plugins are in use. And Instrument...

Re: Aux Sends Latency/Doubling Problems_PLEASE HELP!!!

Hmmm, buffer SHOULD make a difference. In any case, if you have a bus feeding a bus, that will likely cause latency. Also, if you have a send that goes nowhere, that will also cause extra latency:o
