Yes.

Thatís what I meant re: submitting proof of purchase. When your activation code doesnít work, it redirects you to fill out a form requesting your iLok ID, activation code and (optional) proof...

RME Babyface vs Babyface pro FS

Not in mine (and I suspect many others) opinion. Iíve seen plenty of mastering houses using 10yo converters. Some of the Lavry and Lynx DACs you see in those places are over a decade old.

Re: RME Babyface vs Babyface pro FS

Iíd look at the second hand market and buy an older DAC. Youíll be amazed at how good some of them sound.

Itís not just about the converter chip used. The analog stages make a big difference. I...

RME Babyface vs Babyface pro FS

Technically, thereís three Babyface interfaces. The original Babyface (blue and grey models), the newer Babyface Pro and then the Babyface Pro FS which now supersedes the Pro. The last two look...

why are committed regions from an aux channel sometimes longer?

I was referring to the check box in the commit dialog not the consolidate clip command.

If that box is checked, your committed clips will be rendered as a single file. Is it checked or is it off?...

Re: Buying an Interface

Definitely a selling point if youíre going to make use of it. I wouldnít.

TBH - I still havenít made use of the interface. Still sitting in the box 4 months on.

No downtime for changes. UghÖ

Re: why are committed regions from an aux channel sometimes longer?

There is a tick box to consolidate in commit so that could be whatís creating the merged clips.

As for the silenceÖ unsure. As BScout suggested, are you 100% sure itís absolute silence?

Re: Remote control for recording with Pro Tools Studio

Seems like overkill for a transport.

Try the app again on your Android device. Iíd be surprised if it didnít work well. Even though iOS would have the bigger user base, I donít think theyíd let...

Re: Buying an Interface

He probably needs MADI.

Thatís the only difference between the two. That and TB which would be required for throughput for the extra channels that MADI adds.

I donít need MADI, so went with...

Re: ProTools and Native Apple Silicone use...

Rosetta will be deprecated in the future, so they have to make an AS native version of their software unless they want to go out of business.

Or, they can change their system specs to reflect that...

Re: AUX fader - plugin effect level vs volume level?

Less if an issue these days with large amounts of CPU power on tap.

Iíd argue that using a common reverb (for example) via sends can help you achieve a more homogenous sound. Iíve seen people...

Re: 9093 Errors on Screaming Fast System

Exactly.

If this is a custom specific build for audio, then they should have made damn sure it did what it was supposed to do. Thatís what youíre paying a premium for.

Re: Delay Compensation Limit woes

Honest question or being sarcastic?

If the former - no, itís not PTís fault. PT has a hard limit on what it will compensate, but itís the plugin thatís creating the latency.

Itís not a fault...

Whilst an unsupported macOS/PT configuration, I doubt thatís the problem.

Re: Using Pro Tools Artist with an X32

Itís typically mirrored. 16 output limit would be correct.

If you want to utilise all 32 outputs, youíll need Pro Tools Studio which gives you 64 I/O.
