Are you talking a Hackintosh build with an Apple M chip?
Or are you saying the M processor is fast and can be used with LIVE performance to use plugins with low latency?

Unless I'm looking at the wrong MB, this one has 3x PCIe slots, not PCIx slots.

You are correct. There are no new motherboards for PCIx cards.
My HD4 PCIx build also has an older Gigabyte...

I'd like to know more about this as I have a 4 PCI-X card Accel PTHD10 system as well.
My Digi/Avid i/o is now dedicated to my HDN system.
And honestly, the PTHD10 system tracks better...

I'm kind of resurrecting an old thread with this question.

Can I switch my HD Native card to an HDX card without doing more than just that?

I used the 2023.3 HD Driver and got my system running very stable.

Unfortunately for me because I’m on a Hackintosh there is no support from anyone…. meaning as soon as I tell “them” whoever they may be, that I built my own computer and “hacked” the OS, all bets are...

So my Intel based Hackintosh... which blows Mac Pro machines costing 4x the price will someday be rendered useless... :(

At that point I'll move over to a custom PC build or just stay where I am...

I'm running Mojave 10.14.6 with PT HD Native and multiple 192 interfaces.
PT 2022.9 runs perfectly on my Mojave 10.14.6 Mac...

I updated to 2023.3 from 2022.9 and had nothing but problems.
Beachballs, CPU errors and crashes.
I thought it might be plug ins, changed buffer sizes.

I have an interface set up like below and it works fine.
I know that there is a PSU limitation as JFreak mentioned.

Could it be that the ribbon cables were switched around on that side?
