Re: Avid Loyalty Rewards for PT 12 Users?

Beware. Avid CS now claiming the Plugin bundle is only available if you purchased your plan renewal through the Avid web store, although this isn't stated anywhere on the web site or promotional...

Re: I am Actually Very Happy… But one thing!!!

I think the point he was trying to make was that in a struggling economy like SA, because there's no local adjustment the cost of a Pro Tools renewal for him is the equivalent of Avid charging you...

Re: What does surrender license mean?

It means in order to activate the new PT perpetual ilok asset that's been deposited in your account, you have to surrender (hand back) your existing one. This happens automatically and shouldn't be...

Re: Pro Tools 12.6 monthly subscription help!

Buying a Pro Tools subscription gives you the full version of Pro Tools. This allows you to save an unlimited number of projects to disk locally, but you're still limited to saving a maximum of 3...

RX5 Advanced De-Construct alternative

I don't suppose anyone knows of an alternative to the Deconstruct plugin in RX5 Advanced?

I have a bunch of bass guitar tracks which are noisy due to what I think must have been a pickup problem....

Re: Where is my 12.5.2 update link?

In the same boat as you - an ex-CPTK user shunted to HD and now locked into the higher update plan charges. I feel your pain!

That is indeed the way it used to work, and the way most of us think...

Re: Where is my 12.5.2 update link?

You need to have an active update and support plan in order to download 12.5.2 and any other future updates.

If you're not currently covered by one, you'll need to pay the extortionate $999 to get...

Re: perpetual licence

If you purchased a perpetual license which came with a one year upgrade and support plan, you can continue to use your copy of Pro Tools after your year is up.

However you will NOT be able to...

Re: How many of you will keep your HD plans current?

Dropping out in November. No longer feel it right to legitimise a company who make users pay to be beta testers.

Will perhaps buy in again in a few years when Avid have sorted their lives out or...

Re: We need a new subscription model for HD

Worse than all of this, Avid make absolutely no promises not to withdraw the inclusion of the Pro plugins from the HD bundle at any time. You'll note there's no specific iLok asset for them, either....

Re: Upgrade PT 10 with CPTK to PT12HD

Yes 12HD will work with third party hardware. Using it with a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 here.

Other than surround there's very little left in HD that hasn't made it down into standard PT12, so you...

Re: Avid YOU Are Almost Out Of Time

Its not far off a year ago now Avid announced PT12 with big fanfare about it's cloud collaboration features. Personally that's somewhere below the bottom of my wish list, but if I'd bought in on the...

Same problem for me with PT11 on a number of different windows 8.1 machines. Most frustrating.

Re: The often and occasionally muting aux channel

Yes. Exactly this. In one session I'm working on at the moment it's happening frequently. About every 4th or 5th time I hit play. I have to deactivate/activate the bus to bring it back. I think...

Intransit - seeing the exact some thing here. Recently started getting occasional loud bursts of audio when hitting play on a relatively large session i've been working on. This combined with Aux's...

Re: Can't maximize PT 11 from taskbar

If you weren't meant to minimise it, it would be quite simple for them to just remove the minimise button from the UI. Very trivial to achieve. Always worked absolutely fine in the past. It's just a...

Re: Bruce/Anyone know why UK prices for PT Upgrade are screwy?

Looking at the numbers, at a guess I'd say the £399 must exclude VAT. £399 x 1.2 = £478.80 inc VAT.

Re: Error: ASIO device properties changed in control panel

Just to reiterate what everyone else has said really. I had similar problems to this with a Focusrite Saffire 40 on my laptop's integrated Ricoh firewire interface.

A possible solution is as...

Re: Upgrade

Short answer is that its strongly recommended that you use an external drive (on a laptop) or a secondary internal drive (if using a desktop) for your audio.

Longer answer is that depending on...

Re: AAE error 2 was encountered. HELP!

Not sure if this is a Yosemite specific issue. I'm getting constant AAE error 2's under 11.2.2 on Windows, something I didn't see with previous versions.

Re: New Licensing

11.2.2 has been abysmal for me so far. A multitude of AAE and out of memory errors (despite being nowhere near so). I've had to roll back. 11.2.1 was, for me at least, pretty damn solid for what I do...
