The outcome was I bought the 15 inch Macbook Pro.

Do you use many high CPU useage plugins or VI's? Such as a guitar amp emulator, drum sampler or instrument etc?

Hi Carl, in my other thread I mentioned that I would be using anything up to 20-30 track projects with many VI's.

After trying a Mac desktop with the same processor i'm thinking I might need...

In response to my other thread and after reading up on the Avid Compatability Guide for Apple, would this work well with Pro Tools 9?



Latest OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 is installed...

Excellent, with the 15" would you still recommend upgrading the ram and HD?

I take it running the Mackie interface USB is ok with mac?

Thanks. I think i'm going to pick up a cheap one for a tenner and make sure the iLock works before buying a half decent one!

Hi,

I've run out of USB connections on my laptop. Could I run the iLock and USB midi through a USB hub?

I'm assuming it'd be a terrible idea to run my USB interface through a USB hub?
