Unable to access download page-help?

For the last two days I've been unable to get to the download page for 6.4. While browsing the DUC for a solution I found this:

Re: Are we redheaded step children?

"I do find the lack of Windows standard keyboard short cuts (ALT-F to open the File pull down)"

Don't hold the ALT key while hitting the F, release the ALT key first.

"Now that you mention it,...

Re: Synching RADAR to 002

RADAR is not a DAW, it is a stand-alone Hard disc recorder you use just like a tape machine. Try striping one track in Protools with SMPTE, output through an analog out to RADAR's SMPTE in.

Re: OT - Blown woofer - need temporary fix.

Graveleye,

If your speakers are very old (10 years or more) the foam surround is just dry rotting. If the foam is weak and comes apart easily when prodded this is the case. You can pull the...

Re: Scored a used Mackie HUI -- RS-232 (serial port) connection?

I tried all that. When it didn't work I called Mackie technical support and they said the port was non-functional.

Re: Scored a used Mackie HUI -- RS-232 (serial port) connection?

The nine pin serial interface on the HUI doesn't work, even though they say it does in the owners manual. You'll need to pick up another MIDI interface. Great piece of gear though.....

Good luck!...

Re: Anyone here into Zappa?

Keep it greasy so it'll go down easy!

You'll love it! It looks just like a Telefunkin U47.

Re: Anyone here into Zappa?

A true genius. DB-I'm with you on Joe's Garage. A genuine work of art. (But not for the squeamish!)
Weasels Ripped my Flesh also has a special place in my heart, being the first Zappa I ever heard.

Re: Digi 001 & Event EZBus

I'd try out a moving fader vs non-moving before making a purchase. Non-motorized faders are not that great-I'd rather use a mouse. Baby HUI looks like a pretty good deal to me. As far as the...

Re: "Cheap" A/D conversion

The ART DI/O isn't too bad. Stereo in/out via SPDIF. Retails @ $200.00. Not as good as the Lucid, but way less $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Re: Using same mixer settings on different sessions?

When version 6 comes out for PC that should solve this problem. Your best bet until then is to set up a good template (it's in the manual) and start each tune from that template.

Re: Mac/PC compatability

Try doing a "Save session as" and check the box
labeled "Enforce PC/MAC compatibility" (or something like that.)

See if that works and post the results!

Re: OS X for PC... how many of you would switch?

I dunno man-I was just reading about how some of those guys with Dual Processors are getting like ten or twelve tracks on a Davec test. Sounds pretty tempting to me.........

Re: Backup

You have to power down in order to swap drives. I think you could hot swap with...

Re: Control Surface: Baby HUI/EZ Bus

Kaptn,

I second Phil's response. If I had to use a controller without motorized faders I just wouldn't use one. I've got a HUI, but Baby looks like a great choice. Most of HUI's deep PT features...

Re: SMPTE generator

Cubase will. If you don't have it I might try to email a .wav file of SMPTE to you. You can import it into Protools as an audio file.
