Yes, it seems the Pro Tools framework is pretty shaky. That's what you get when you have to hold on to years of backward compatibility, i guess.

Anyway, let's focus on solutions and escalate!

Acknowledged by Engineering Team as PT-279941. (Dynamic plug-in processing does not work on tracks wider than mono)

Please refer to support portal so we can have this fixed as soon as possible!

DPP works on mono tracks
DPP does not work on stereo tracks (and up - tested with LCR, QUAD, 5.0, 5.1) with 3 avid plugs and many more tested

I can confirm that mono tracks indeed release cpu power (dynamic plugin processing works) , when the dynamic plugin processing does not work on stereo tracks. How to escalate this? Jeffro? 2021.10 on...

Confirming with 2021.6 Acon Digital Verberate and Phoenix Verb are running dynamically on tracks as expected.

So it means the plugins are compiled not to use the feature somehow? including AVID...

yes, it is not working as advertised in 2021.6 nor (i dare to say) any previous version from 2020. So it is a long standing lack of 'feature'. Shall we all report this so it will get the spotlight...
