Exporting OMF file

Anyone know how to succesfully export a ProTools project to OMF format? No matter what I do (i.e. highlight all the tracks in my project, highlight only some, or have none highligthed) the "Export...

Re: Upgrading to XP SP2 with LE 6.4

Well.. I acquired my Waves bundle through, how should I say, *alternative* means... so, if I'd have to upgrade, I'll employ the same methods.

Re: Upgrading to XP SP2 with LE 6.4

I've got a Pentium 4 2.8 gHz processor. Any chance for improved CPU utilization sounds like a deal-maker to me. Although, the fact that I might have to upgrade Plug-ins is a little disconcerting... I...

Re: Upgrading to XP SP2 with LE 6.4

Hmm, now that the facts are in, I'm considering shelling out the $75 and upgrading to 7.1. I take it 7.1 naturally works with XP SP2 (without any funky patch)? My biggest concern is...

Upgrading to XP SP2 with LE 6.4

I know I'm a little behind the times on this one, but I wanted to ask the real Pro Tools users out there what the low-down is on this (as opposed to blindly following the upgrade documents on...

Re: Dual-Processors in Pro-Tools 6.4

I've been using C4 as my equalizer, so maybe I'm mistaken... if it does compression too I haven't been using it for that. Maybe I could "cut my CPU cost" as it were, by making use of it's compression...

Re: Dual-Processors in Pro-Tools 6.4

Bruce,

How much would a board like that set me back and where could I get one (maybe you know of some dot.coms that sell them)? Also, as I mentioned earlier, I'm a little squeamish when working...

Re: Dual-Processors in Pro-Tools 6.4

Thanks for getting back to me... the session where I experience the most "slowness" and often encounter the "You are running out of CPU Power message" looks like this:

Track 1: DRUMS ...

Dual-Processors in Pro-Tools 6.4

Hi,

I've been hitting a wall, so to speak, with how many plug-ins I can use in Pro Tools (v6.4) before I get the dreaded "You are running out of CPU power" message. Needless to say this is not...

I'm confused, can't I download the 6.9 upgrade from Digidesign for free?

Upgrading 6.4 --> 6.9

I noticed that Pro Tools LE v6.9 is available. I'm using LE v6.4 right now on Windows XP Home Service Pack 1 w/ my Digi 002. I sifted through the on-line documentation here at digidesign.com and it...

Upgrading 6.4 --> 6.9

I see that Pro Tools LE v6.9 is available. I am currently using v6.4 w/ my Digi 002. My OS is Windows XP (Home) SP 1. From looking at the Windows updates here at digidesign.com, it seemed that I...

Whats the best noise reduction plug-in?

I've been using Waves' x-noise, x-crackle and x-click (in that order) to reduce clicks, pops and *hiss* from sounds. I use samples from vinyl records a lot, which more often than not have a lot of...

Re: How do I \"ungroup\" two tracks in Pro Tools LE

There isn't any spot on my Pro Tools screen which allows me to "delete a group" believe it or not. I don't see a "Groups Pop-Up Menu" anywhere. I think you're assuming that I see one, but I don't....

Re: How do I \"ungroup\" two tracks in Pro Tools LE

I'm confused. It seems like the instructions you gave wouldn't *ungroup* 2 tracks -- which is what I'm *trying* to do -- but rather group 2 of them together. I need to *ungroup* 2 tracks. Looking...
