Just to confirm please Ben, Faderport does work with Pro Tools, it's just that it's functionality is limited (related to the limitations of the HUI protocol)?

Icon Pro Audio have some good control surfaces for reasonable prices (utilising the HUI protocol).

Thanks guys, I managed to solve it last night... only took 4 hours!

AMD Radeon Catalyst had installed a couple of random audio drivers, HDMI and SPDIF, and I had 2 onboard mobo sound drivers...

Upgraded from Win 7 x64/Pro Tools 11.3 - installed latest Win 10 y/day, installed Pro Tools 2021.6, it wont run at anything...
