Pro Tools generates SMPTE? Back when I had this rigged (this is all theory until I can get my rig goin') , I thought I was chasing vs. jam syncing, but when should I use one vs the other? I'm sure...

Right, Thanks, I have used MTC via a JL Cooper box. PT will recognize the Start but drifts over time from the SMPTE originating on a striped track of my Teac 80-8. I think I need my SMPTE to...

I am coming from a Teac 80-8 w/out sync capabilties, only SMPTE striped.
Would the Avid Synch IO allow PT9 to chase w/ regard to speed? or it is pointless unless the tape deck is...

Thanks All - Tom, can you please elaborate on the routing of the 3 units? Are you going Optical from the EchoAudio? The MOTU is spitting MTC from the Smpte? Do the MOTU & Echo interface? Thanks!!

I want to stripe a track of my 1/2" Tascam 80-8 & have PT (002) chase - Can 9 do this now? I have chased using MTC (not true sync) and this eventually drifts especially if your tape's...
