Yeah, the thing is I like when it tells me that there are app or plugin updates... looks like it's all or nothing from there. Will probably just have to disable it entirely... but Avid should sort...

Yes, I know I have to reup soon, and I'm on top of it. It's pinging me every 15 mins or less... sometimes as often as 1 min apart... how can I shut this up without disabling the software update...

Ok, Avid sales support got back to me. They need to swap out the bundle license for a non-bundle, which they can do pre-sale apparently.

So @Nirvana5253, drop them a line... they'll tell you what...

Yes, this is what I was also interested in. An upgrade path to a full-blown Pro Tools HD Native rig from PT10 + CPTK (which would be hardware + PTHD software).

Quite frankly, if it's easier, I'm not too worried if the guy down the road who bought a used license gets the same deal (for the record I bought all mine new!)... it would be good for Avid too as...

Absolutely... the whole system as it stands seems to be inclined to propping up the used market, and that can't be good for Avid.

I think although Avid have historically had good upgrade paths,...

Everyone is screaming loudly (rightfully so) about getting a slightly fairer upgrade to PTHD from the CPTK.

But what about a crossgrade to a hardware-based version of PTHD? Any interest in that?

The lack of Thunderbolt on the existing Mac Pro design is the only thing keeping me away. If it's the way forward for the next 5-10 years and high then I'd want my machine to have it.

They are modelled/derived from different pieces of SSL hardware so it depends on what you're after - they are meant to sound different.

Thanks, gave that a go just now but no luck... still no options in the 'Source' box... did a full BTD a while ago and it is working absolutely fine...
