Re: Time Shift not accurate or bug?

I just ran some quick Time Shift tests on two hour audio files in a 48kHz, 24 bit session. Both processes went from 345600000 to 360000000 samples, or 1.0466666667% expansion as expected. Both Time...

Re: 24fps pulled-down to 29.97 for Film Post

The original question was, as I understand it: If you get an Avid AAF or OMF pointing to 48000 files shot against film speed, how do you get that into a session running at 48000, 29.97 with no pulls....

Re: 1 frame offset using TC reader

On many Sony decks, always check if it's reading VITC on field 1 or field 2. The wrong setting can cause VITC out one frame late.

Re: Where To Find Real Plasma Delay Figures?

Add to that list variables due to the connection type you are using. In most LCD monitoring I've used, component is less delay than composite or S-Video.

Re: how to downmix a 5.1 file to stereo. help

I'd always check the LFE. While many people use the LFE as a sub, other use it as a low frequency effect track. Rumor is if you get one of the early copies of... let's just call it this famous...

Re: pull up question for skilled people

You have provided just a little information so it's hard to recommend a specific workflow. So instead let's review your options on an HD system:

1. You have Automatch Pull Factors. Set your HD...

Re: Free C.A.S. Seminar

First: I think I said it at the meeting: Pro Tools officially supports import and export of mono or stereo BWF files. We do that as those are BWF standards.

Although Digi doesn't test and...

Re: Using A Plasma Screen

We understand the issue of Plasma monitors and delay. It is on our desired features list. But even when done, it will only be a solution for the Pro Tools in the room, not the rest of the video in...

Re: LTC Delay

Let me clear up a couple of issues here:

Pro Tools/SYNC I/O is locked to frame edge when:
