I am having the same issue. You might want to try a new firewire port. Purchase a new firewire card see if that makes a difference.

Issues with the CPU meter

Saving with command S

I am having an issue with saving whenever I use the key command (Command S) it pops up a window as if I clicked on save as. Is their someway to change this in the prefs.

I did trash the digi databases as well. i am not using any third party plugins i am just using digi plugins intill i fix this issue

try taking out some ram and look at your system usage in pro tools. Look at your cpu(rtas) if you take out a gig does it make a difference or does it make a difference if you add a gig?

I have seen this click problem happen. A work around could be making an audio track and have it under a ticks not samples. Set your tempo. Record a cowbell or whatever you like to hear for your click...
