Make sure your firewire drive has been formatted with Apple's Disk Utility program (System Hard Drive> Application > Utilities). Don't use the software that comes with your firewire drive to format...

That ultimately helps me accomplish what I need to do. Just when I think I know all of the shortcuts I find another. I still miss the ability to variably shrink/expand the timeline...

In earlier versions we could click and drag on either horizontal track zoom button in the upper left hand of the edit window, and it would center the region. This was wonderful for custom fitting...

Both processors used in any version?

I am about to purchase a new G4. Does any release of version 6x Pro Tools access both processors in either a G4 or a G5. I would rather buy a dual 1GHz computer than a single 1.25 GHz if Pro Tools...
