192 shuts down

my 192 interface has started shutting down after being on for and hour or two.

It's racked with back open but no fan. It's been this way for a year or so and hasn't given me any problems up till...

Is there an easy way without splitting a 5.1 track to 6 mono's to bounce it down to stereo. With aux sends or trim plug in or???

Scott, create a 29.97 sessions at the sample rate you want to be when you give it to the composer.
then import tracks from your 24 frame original session. check the SRC box so that it will covert...

Before PT 5.31 the footage counter and smpte counter (29.97 non drop) worked great.
somehow in the change things don't line up the way they should.
regardless if it is pulled down or not.

just swapped core card out, system works great, so it must be a bad core card.
Calling digi to get RA. Still the question of why it passed digi test with core card and Process card in the mac. but...

BUT when I took out the process card to see what happened, I still got the 9161 error and I ran the digi test while...

tested sessions on another set up and all worked so there must be a problem with my cards or ram or?

Plays fine outputting audio to digital outputs.

I have a HD2 system, I am using around 24 voices, outputting various 5.1 stems ontop of eachother (strings, brass, perc etc.) outputting them out of Chann 1-6 on my 192 interface. It works fine...

Is the fuse card out of luck when we go to sys x?

I don't know about the workings of it but isn't there anyone out there that would write a driver that would allow the fuse card to work with sys...

I have 3 HD systems, I use them at various differnt locations with different task for each one (#1 editing while #2 is loading in tracks while #3 is mixing) I have diffent plug ins on each...

Latest word from the rental company is that there was a bad sync I/O.
that allowed the sample rate to vari... We tossed out all the protools sessions from that day and reloaded them from the analog...

We can get the session opened...
we haven't changed any of the set up...
we've opened the session with out the audio, then had it find the offline audio. so far so good.
it plays the audio fine....
