I have a 2009 mac pro and was considering upgrading from PT11 to PT11 HD and purchasing HDX hardware used on ebay.

If I purchase the following, will I have all the elements I need for an HDX...

True, I'm not using loop recording. Ideally what I need is for my audio tracks to behave like midi tracks:

When you enable record on a midi track it automatically UN-enables any other midi track...

Hey guys - I've had a breakthrough in my latency issues. I installed PT 11 and wasn't getting any better results until I actually UNINSTALLED the Digi 002 drivers and got a huge performance boost.

I'm running all of my VIs on the slave, so my pro tools session load is light... just a dozen audio tracks, and one instrument track with the VE pro plugin.

I compose music for a cartoon show and increasingly my Pro tools LE system is inadequate for my work. I get occasional audio dropouts from my PC slave, and have to use a high buffer setting...
