Agreed, but another work around would be to duplicate the midi file(as many times as you like) since midi info doesn't require much in the way of system resources:o

If the files are in the Clips Bin, I would spot them onto the track in place of the missing audio. There may be a simpler way, but I have never had to look for it:o

I highly recommend going thru a dealer and NOT direct from Avid. A good dealer like sweetwater, alto music, Dale pro audio, etc are much better at after-sale support:o

You may also take a look at a used Presonus Faderport V2 along with neyrinck's V-Control Pro software. And check out prices on used Faderport 8/16 as I believe V-Control Pro pushes those controllers...
