Re: Error -20021

OK, so here's a tip I got from a fellow editor. They had the issue on a large block buster also with hundreds of CS and apparently turning off hyper-threading using this tool as per AVID's...

Re: Error -20021

Ugh, that doesn't sound too good now. Although never really confirmed it does seem like CS is the issue. I haven't used it for a year now and zero 20021 errors.
Unfortunately I might be forced to...

Re: Error -20021

Hi All,

after almost a year of avoiding Channel Strip (in favour of FF Q3 and zero -20021 errors) I might be forced to use it again on the next project starting first thing in 2022.
Has anyone of...

Re: Error -20021

No not all on the same track. It's definitely session related even working of the same template. Some do it a lot, some not at all and others a little bit. It's also in certain areas of the session...

Re: Error -20021

We had this again during a mix. This time on HDX3, Dolby Atmos setup. Also the usual "random busses stop playing" issue after a track import that I've only known from HDX (actually since HDX was...

Re: Error -20021

No sorry, Channel Strip, Slapper, Spanner, Phoenix Surround 2.0.9, Lowender, Softube TSAR, McDSP SA-1 and some more.

I found that sometimes ChannelStrip behaves weird. I tweak something in preview...

Re: Error -20021

Over here it started this summer (19.6 I guess). But as stated earlier I have seen this 1-2 years ago on a large Atmos mix with multiple HDX rigs running as well.
This time we're all HDnative. No...

Re: Error -20021

As mentioned earlier, it's likely automation and you can avoid the re-launch by flattening all lanes in the empty space around the area where the error happened (select and hit command-alt-/). This...

Re: Error -20021

Yeah, it's the first time I've seen these in such an extreme way. First time ever was during an Atmos theatrical mix 2 years ago but that was a very complex setup with multiple rigs and an RMU. And...

Re: Error -20021

Hi there,

so since we have this happening on 5 different rigs we’ve now at least found a temporary fix. Not actually a fix but a trick that temporarily avoids having to restart till the error hits...

Re: Error -20021

Thanks for confirming. I don't see this in connection with video engine issues. In fact I haven't had those in years.
But the pattern is always the same. Auto too dense (which it isn't) followed by...

Error -20021

We're seeing a lot of errors -20021 in combination with automation too dense messages. After a auto too dense message occurs and you hit play the next time a -20021 (undocumented on the AVID website...
