Have you tried placing a mic close up on the cab and then another mic about 8-10 feet away from the speaker and sending it to another track? This ususally helps to fatten up the sound.

You should get them to invest in some 31 band eq's. At least one for FOH if running mono and one for each monitor send. A well eq'd PA & monitors is essential to a good live sound. Popping shouldn't...

Even though your edl may have events on chanells 2, 3 & 4 you can just highlight all the events in the edl go to the "Source Audio" menu and select "Set Record tracks" and check tracks 1 & 2....

I use a Fostex D-15 and set the Ref frame rate to 30ndf and then the rePro TC to "Auto" then set the Sync to Ext Video, feed it blackburst and that does the job.

In LA there is a place on La Brea around Pico, I think it's called Diamond Foam. They sell 8 x 4 sheets in 1 or 2 inch thickness at pretty good prices for those on a tight budget. ...

So at present I am working on a film project that that we received 3/4 work tapes and an OMF for the dialogue. I exported the OMF to Pt's with DT and then checked the pull down...

It could be that the drive is fragmented and even though there is enough space to fit the session, the largest block left may not be big enough to hold the largest file.

Larry, I'm not that familiar with FCP v3.0 but you should just be able to drag your individual takes to any point on the timeline and line up the audio with the sticks and then cut them down to...

1) As well as recording the "good" sound on to the dat, have the camera mic, record sound straight to the DV tape. The rough sound will be imported...

How much memory do you have allocated to Pt's & the DAE? If there is already plenty maybe you could change the DAE buffer settings. That might help. If that fails get a better drummer...

We are running a couple of G3 system with Pt's 5.0.1 (1 beige, 1 B&W) and have the same problem on both, not that I think this is related to ProTools but I thought someone here may have an answer or...
