there will prabably be a new version (7.3.2 or so) soon i guess. Untill then I wil just sit quietly and enjoy my working version of protools / osx...

I updated to 10.4.10 and protools wouldn't start at all. Not after a reinstall, not afetr prebinding, not after using the combo-update.
I reinstalled 10.4.8 from DVD, downloaded the 10.4.9...

great, i was in doubt wether I had to do a reinstall to get other drivers installed. Apparently not.

buy yourself a firewire 800 to firewire 400 cable. Use your external 400 drive on the 800 port, the port will slow down to 400. Works perfectly for me...
