Thank you Jan & Tokyo Rose. Changing the monitor resolution did the trick. Funny thing is that prior to increasing the resolution I was able to drag the window up so that I could see the lower edge...

I've used 3.4 for a long time too, on a Motorola StarMax (603e processor running at 200mHz), and Loved It! Anyway...installation of ProTools Free *does not* overwrite your old files. It just moves...

There is no way (that I can find) to close the Preferences dialoge window, short of doing a "force quit", in which case none of my pref's are saved. There are no visible "Okay" or "Cancel" buttons. ...
