Re: 10.3.7 Fresh install killing my computer!

I used to use a trackball at home, but use a mouse at work and my mind works better using the same equipment to do the same tasks. As I didn't own a mouse anymore - I thought it was a good time to...

Re: 10.3.7 Fresh install killing my computer!

In order to get PT to work on my laptop, i should stop my high precision mouse from working?

I'll try it...but that seems like a step backwards to me! if its working prior to installing PT, it...

Re: 10.3.7 Fresh install killing my computer!

Hmm,

It seems like what is hanging the most is the audio portion of the razer synapse for my mouse. I'll attach one of the 20 crash reports from yesterday for it, along with the crash report from...

Re: 10.3.7 Fresh install killing my computer!

10.8.5

It doesn't necessarily crash Finder. It crashes system utilities when I open it, the sound utility to change the volume, wireless, battery indicator (They don't show up for a long time, and...

Re: 10.3.7 Fresh install killing my computer!

Hey Chris,

This time I have not done any optimizations on my Mac, as I have found in my previous installations that it has not changed performance much for what I am doing.

Especially since...

10.3.7 Fresh install killing my computer!

I am trying to install PT 10.3.7 freshly on a new MacBook Pro so I can do some editing work on the go.

After restart, my sound, wireless, and battery icons take forever to show up, and when moving...

Re: Why The Command 8 is better than the Artist Control/Mix

"4. Switch the Green "On" switch with a Red/Orange "Mute". Seems backwards. Switch the Red solo button to Green/Yellow solo button, LIKE EVERY CONSOLE ON THE PLANET...This should mimic the colors I'm...

Re: Plugin Mapping????

Re: The real-world Case for HDX Hardware

My experience using Native (HD:Native) in post, is that recording VO in the booth, the latency is enough to annoy professional talent. Non-professionals don't notice at all, and seem to be fine....

Re: Plugin Mapping????

Depends on your definition of a mess. The artist series does not work like a midi console - and neither do most of the others. so 'midi learn' never would have worked...

Re: No legacy support after pt 10

The ProControl wasn't officially supported in PT9, yet users all over the place (including my last studio job) have had no problem running sessions with it.

It doesn't mean they are stripping out...

Re: Euphonix MC Mix Vs. Artist Mix

The two are identical right now. Avid hasn't updated he product past where Euphonix has - yet. If you buy it form a store, they will most likely have v2 of the Control, since that has been out for...

Re: Questions regarding Artist control

At least until a major update, they are the same box. Euphonix always called it the artist series, MC Control, so Avid just took the Euphonix name off, and is now calling it Artist Control.

So V2...

Re: Preview/capture Automation MC Control

So, from what I can tell, I need to keep the automation pane as the top most window for quickkeys to work. Any advice on how to make the macro put the automation window on top if it is not?

Re: Artist Series Success Stories?
