Yes, I understand how to read what the plugin reports. It reports 0 samples here as well. But, this is a convolution verb, so naturally it has latency. The manual says 480 samples. Can someone...

Go into the System Preferences > Sounds and change the default device from the built-in output to the 002.

You can also change the "file open with" preferences so that .WAV files will always open...

Why are you playing back your stereo bounces in PT ?

Why not use QuickTime ? it is... quicker.

As for the hardware issue:
PT uses DAE (digital audio engine) while everything else in OSX uses...

When you begin a session, check the "Enforce Mac/PC Compatibility".

This will save the SESSION FILE so that both it can be read on either system.
It won't make any changes to anything else.

Preamps raise the signal level of whatever is connected to it's input.

A/D converters turn the analog signal into 1's and 0's.

D/A converters turn the 1's and 0's into an analog signal.

You COULD just shoot for an average level around -6 to -12 when tracking. It does NOT have to peak close to 0 to be a good strong signal. Just make sure you work in 24 bit sessions and...

it does indeed have 96kHz conversion... however, only using AES or S/PDIF... you're limited to 48kHz when using ADAT.

unless you're running a very fast computer, i doubt that you will be able to...

unfortunately this is for any ADAT in preamp...

48kHz tops.

but this is ok, because i track at 24/44.1

if you're recording yourself, you want a NICE front end, not a $500 for 8 channels pre.
