Re: Fader pack and Monitor section

I had the "gimp" fader once that seemed related to the specific track on a session. I think I moved the track to another location and it woke up the fader.

I think I might also have deleted the...

Re: Plug in paramiters on faders?? How?

How could I get this wrong? I've tried all of the four lower left black buttons. With the plug-in active (edit params normal as listed), I can press any of the 4 lower left buttons and flip and -...

Re: HELP all my plug settings are gone !

I had that recently too. Setting the root folder worked - you can also look to make sure it's there.

Then you reboot the computer.

Re: How Much Computer

Judging from the responses, it may be difficult to find someone who is indeed experienced in both platforms.

I have a 4 server (each with different distributed NT functions) NT (4.0) system for...

Actually - emailed Digi support and got a response within 4 hours! Awesome! I threw away the prefs and updated to 2.4 and it works fine.

MLCD Locks at writing "Lead Out"

Worked fine for years then just started this behavior. Toast does not have the problem with the same files. Did it on more than one file...I threw away all the MLCD folder and re-installed. Same...

Re: anyone using an isobox or isorax

I've got a 2-fan 20 Iso-Box space one crammed with gear and it runs about 89 - 90f when the room is about 74. I've heard there is a 4 fan upgrade?? I really like it - it works - it's quiet.

Re: Is Lexiverb good as a PCM 480?

There have been other threads to this effect but good grief! there is no comparison between the sound of the 480 and the other reverbs.

Perhaps what is sometimes lost is a discussion of what...

Re: Pro tools vs Host based.

Don't buy a magazine ad. Find someone who has what you think you want and go watch it work.

Re: ANY DELUXE TIPS ON HOW TO DI A SIGNAL FOR AMPFARM AND FOR REAMP USE LATER ON?

1. I've found a big difference in sound by what you use from the direct guitar to the A/D. Sometimes I use a tube pre/eq (to cut low end) and comp to get as much "real" tube sound as possible before...

Re: Outboard & PT heaven, SSL comressor on overheads!

I've used C-12VR to API Pre's, to a Manley Vari MU (1.5:1) pushing the gain to get a "silky" Drum OH. The pattern selection on the C12's has alot to do with high top end hype so I may adjust them...

Re: Anyone using Dynaudio Acoustics BM15a\'s or M1.5\'s?

I've had BM15A's for about 2 years. I don't use them for very quiet mixing (I use the Gen 1030A's for that) but everyting else above that I use the Dyn's. I've tried others but keep going back to...

Re: AD8000 line up tips for levels into PT please

The AD 8000 may very well be calibrated differently than PT. There is a calibration function on the AD which you can match to the PT meters. If you call Apogee they are very helpful to resolve this.

Re: Impirical Labs Distressor as tape / valve simulator on drums, tips?

I've also got the distressors and mostly use them on Bass. Also just got the McDSP which has pre-sets for distressor. Just started using it and it made a weak snare POP out using a "distressor"...

Re: Best In-Ear Monitors?...

The Shure does not have alot of headroom. I've found you need a good limiter in the chain. The AKG Virtuals are very interesting in that they have LOTS of headroom, several EQ curves, Spatial...

Tempo/Beat Grid \"holes\" (revisited)

So I do the following:
1. Record a click.
2. Accurately map out all measures from 1 to 126.
3. Drummer has time problems "here and there" which I can now easily see by the Click. I can also...
