PT IS recognizing my interface because it is selected and audio is coming out as normal, but for some reason audio will not record into it

Also when downloading there were new pt HD driver install package. I did not install that because I didnt think I had to, could this be the issue?

Ok I recently updated my Pro tools to the latest version and everything seemed to be good until I went to record. I can see audio from my mic coming into my Apollo 8 so I know its coming into that....

Got it, Im going to get a perpetual license since I dont believe I have 1. once I buy do I have to uninstall my PT 11 before installing the new version?

I have been using PT for over 20 yers but never had to go into MIDI settings, I can get sound now into PT from the but need to sync to the 707 thats all

Yes I did have to set IP addresses on them! I remember doing that on a phone call from avid they had me change the IP address on both

I now have only the s1 connected and nothing is coming up in my surfaces at all. Also I remember when I updated to Mohave like 2 years ago my pro tools stopped working correctly and Eucon wouldnt...
