Vacuum keep changing volume... Why?

It seems like I have a continually modulating filter of some sort on my Vacuum, but I've checked every knob ....I think. The sound just keeps changing.

It sounds like the low pass filter then the...

Re: Would this UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) protect and power my gear?

KMcK, indeed I did use the handy APS product selector and this is the machine that it recommended for "best performance." However, I am a bit nervous looking at stats that don't aren't listed in a...

Would this UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) protect and power my gear?

I have a MacPro with Dual 2.66 Xeons. Apparently it has a 1,000 Watt powersupply.

I also have powered speakers, my 003, and a couple audio processors that total 500 Watts

I don't really get...

Re: When will I be able to use my 003 in PT9 aggregate?

Darryl,

I understand that AVID doesn't support those aggregate devices, but their manufacturer will, right?

Why isn't AVID supporting its own hardware with modern (aggregate capable) drivers?

When will I be able to use my 003 in PT9 aggregate?

Will there ever be drivers for my 003 so that I can use it in the aggregate?

Why should I ever buy another Avid interface if the drivers aren't going to stay modern?

I definitely can't...

Re: Digi 003 won't go into Pro Tools Aggregate I/O ??

They should at least give us some drivers with the option. It's almost as if they don't want us to buy the hardware now....

Re: Graphics Card an issue?

A shot in the dark here, but have you checked to make sure that your Universal Access Zoom is off in the Sys Prefs? That can use more GPU cycles. Otherwise, I'm stumped.

Re: Pro Tools MP 9 Takes Ages to load

Mac HD / Library / Application Support / Digidesign / Plug-Ins

A better practice than dragging them to the desktop would be to put them in a "Plug-Ins (Unused)" folder.

Digi 003 won't go into Pro Tools Aggregate I/O ??

In my Audio Midi Setup on Snow Leopard, I can't seem to get my 003 to show in an aggregate device.

Why not?

I'm up to date with both the 003 drivers and PT 9.0.3

Re: Pro Tools MP 9 Takes Ages to load

Are you sure it's the plugins? Try removing the plug-ins folder(s). Put it/them on your desktop and try again.
You could continue with that method until you found the offending plug-in.

Re: Celeron-M Proccesors?

Indeed. Actually, now that I look at it they are only "recommended requirements (for maximun track count)." Still, the whole dongle thing seems like a pain.

Re: Celeron-M Proccesors?

Thanks for the advice. I hadn't noticed the 2 hard drive requirement. Was that an addition with PT 7? I know that PTLE 6 for Mac wasn't that way.

Also, do...

Re: LE and M-powered differences?

Thanks for this response.

I wonder if the higher resolution of the 1814 or the lack of balanced i/o makes it a superior or inferior unit in comparison to the DIGI 001. Any thoughts?

Re: Backing Up Entire Protool Sessions to CD/DVD

I use Toast to burn the entire session folder onto CD. If the files are truly important though, I would recommend buying an external HDD and copying all of your sessions onto that as well.
