Thanks for all the great responses. Looks like the new Macbook White has firewire and upgraded to 4Gz Ram would do the trick.

001 and quicktime

I just updated Quicktime and I can't play mp3 songs (those stored on hard drive) throuogh my 001 powered monitors. The sound comes through my computer monitors.

Please let me know how I can play...

I'm not sure but I think you can go to your C drive Program Files - Common Files - DigiDesign - DAE - Plug Ins and get ride of the appropriate .dpm and .rsr files.
