Why not adding HD option card to your Symphony, then it would connect via DigiLink and be seen as Avid interface by PT

All guesses for sure. But many 3rd party plugin vendors already publish on their support pages that they have Apple Silicon native plugins in inhouse testing, only waiting for iLok/DAW releases

Yes, that license opens pre-12.6 versions and Avid Download center has versions 12.6 to current. There was license type change in 12.6 version, so that's why

Btw. this "new" means that since 2013 MBP/MP internal drive has reached gigabyte speeds, and the new Apple Silicons have about 3.5GB/sec performance.

Google NVMe SSD and you get the idea.
