I figured out two ways to do it in Pro Tools 11:

First way:

1. Place insert on track, make sure the delay compensation numbers are showing in the mix window. This automatically will tell you...

I thought I was doing this from the PT manual page 1062...because it's going to an Aux with an insert the recorded tracks are delay compensated but my new recorded track doesn't have the FX applied,...

DC Choppah, thank you for that. Just a question, on PT 11 I notice it tells me in samples what the Delay compensation is for my inserted hardware, is this not the number you speak of?

Basically my question is, is there any way to print through hardware without nudging? I thought there was someway you could tap an Aux or something so PT takes care of it but it's looking like no.

thanks I do that for reverbs, so I can have wet/dry control

but if I want all the drums to entirely go through a bus, wouldn't the way I'm describing be logical as well?

So you would use a pair of stereo distressors as inserts on a bus?

I'm creating a bus, selecting the I/O to match the distressors then on each drum track...

the distressors are setup in the I/O as both inserts and buss as when I need it. in the session they are not setup as inserts
