I had a US-1800 for a while and it wasn't even aggregate-able, so I wouldn't rely on it being able to operate properly in standalone. If you have both, I would sell them both and buy an M-Box Pro...

It occurs to me that this might be relevent:

Input signal path:

Mixer mic pre Di out > HD i/o input > Pro Tools and/ or other daw

Output signal path:

Pro Tools/ other daw > HD i/o > to...

Can I use an HD Accel card (not the HD "accel core" card) on its own? E.X. Without a Core card?

"Don't worry, the interfaces are compatible" So if I buy an HD2 core card and a 192 i could use it with Pro Tools 11 providing:

A) the physical connections and drivers for the HD2 are compatible...
