Re: catalog searches too slow in PT9
FWIW - Soundminer v4 will batch convert SD2 to wav or aiff and always keep the metadata and the original folder structure. It's called the mirror feature.

AS a general rule, when using SM, drag and drop the PT session doc onto Soundminer. this teaches SM where everything is supposed to go and in what format. PT is very sensitive to format...

Re: Soundminer doesn´t recognize the current Pro Tools session
Hi All
PTsearch relies on Spotlight and as Spotlight is NOT recommended/turned off by AVID on Pro Tools, it makes the PTsearch tool inoperable. Newer versions of PT shut off Spotlight and thereby...

Re: Burning a Data/DVD with Metadata
Soundminer imports your iTunes library directly but Fajitatone is right, had you embedded all with SM, you'd be way ahead of the game and also had the data embedded in the iTunes containers.

Yes. the '^' is not 'legal' and have you tried to check off the 'clean filenames' box in the Soundminer 3.2cs12 prefs?
That should clean it before it transfers and yo ushouldn't have that problem.

If soundminer handles the copy and conversion process the metadata is always transferred. As it stands, If PT takes it over, it is stripped out.
