He's going to buy the $199 license since there isn't an upgrade path... even if there were, it would cost about the same. It's the one-year subscription with support... decent price, actually.

Yeah, he's got a newer MBPro that will run current OS. I think we've found an option that will work.

Totally agree!!! We try to keep as much dynamic range as possible as the station/network will have its own processing ahead of the transmitter to make everything sound the same. Keep your dynamics...

NOPE!! 2021.10 worked on our HDX2, but not our HD Native systems. Now .12 works on one Native and the HDX is dead. Moving the HDX back to 2021.10 for now. Very frustrating... I hoped this would...

I had problems with our Focusrite drivers not loading on new Mac Pros and got they email from Focusrite support. I'm going to try this to see if it helps with the Avid HD Driver....

Avid support forwarded a document link to me that went into detail about removing Avid Audio Server... that solved the problem. The document was dated Nov 2019, so there's been some issues with it...

The problem is very consistent and happens upon each startup. This is an HDX-2 with cards in slots 5 & 6, Avid's recommendation if you can't start in slot 2. We have the double-wide graphics card...

We've got it running on 4 MacPros and I have on my personal iMac and MBPro. No issues except with HDX cards, and Avid knows about the issue I've seen and are working on it.

It's not really a killer issue... once ProTools loads and wakes up the HDX cards everything is fine. Avid has escalated this and given me a possible workaround, I just haven't had time to try it yet...

We have 11.6 on four new MacPros... 3 with HD Native and 1 with HDX2. There are some strange issues ONLY with the HDX cards as I've posted in this forum, but Avid is aware of it and checking...

We thought of that, but if it's an Avid issue... and we proved that by pulling the HDX cards... they're going to have to fix this at some point.
