Re: error: Bounce to Disk -- \"tFF_AudioPropery.cpp\"

I'm the first to experience this problem?

Well, after trying everything else, I "saved a copy as" and did a fresh save of the file and associated audio files. I had been using WAVs, but chose to...

Re: error: Bounce to Disk -- \"tFF_AudioPropery.cpp\"

I should add that I've tried everything in the "General Troubleshooting - Pro Tools 6 & 7 Mac OS X" thread. Everything.

error: Bounce to Disk -- \"tFF_AudioPropery.cpp\"

I bought a used dual 1.42 G4 and just tried bouncing a 52-minute recording, and it went all the way through -- but just as it was converting the file to a 44.1k 16-bit AIFF, I get this message:

Re: Seagate External Hard drive

I've got 2 Seagate FW hard drives (and 1 Maxtor FW hard drive), and they seem fine to me.

Re: 002 rack unable to keep its connection

Somebody once explained to me that Chinese-manufactured goods are of poor quality not because Chinese are inept, but because there's not the level of training and oversight that you might have in...

Re: Latest iTunes and Digi interface incompatibility?

The bouncing dock icon....

I usually am able to fix that by doing the following:

1) Repair permissions. You do this by going to your "Disk Utility" and just clicking the repair permissions...

Re: ACOUSTICS, SOUND, FOAM, Help, Help, Help

Depending on what you're wanting to do, and what your budget is, you could try something as simple as hanging blankets from a ladder and broomsticks, like I do for vocals/voiceovers:

Re: editing/mastering question

I'd think that you'd have to make the "sounds" in the beat seem like part of the same "family" -- like they relate to each other, or come from the same place in the "sonic field." You could EQ the...

Re: Can a Audio Clip be stretched....FX added to end?

Why can't you just copy that last strum, and them "paste" it onto a new track? Then apply a few AS effects to it until it sounds just the way you want. Maybe an echo, and then a reverb. Or an echo, a...

I use my 7506s all the time (so I don't wake my wife with my Yamaha monitors) -- very comfortable. I'll check out the Sennheisers....

Re: Cheap soundproofing... any suggestions?

Here are photos showing how I record my vocals. It really does work great, but probably not for what you're doing. They are funny photos, though!

Re: whats up with safari Or is it the Duc :smirk:

Yup.

Hopefully nobody will actually wipe their drives and reinstall their OS for something as silly as this. I suspect the original post was also just said in fun, a response to not liking the new...

Re: whats up with safari Or is it the Duc :smirk:

If trashing your QuickTime preferences doesn't help, I recommend you wipe your hard drive and reinstall your operating system. That's what I did to get the DUC to show up right in Safari.

Re: What\'s best computer for 001 these days?

Where -- the dual 1.8 GHz G5 *does* have the older PCI format (as opposed to the PCI-X format). No other G5 ever produced has the "standard" PCI slots that this model does. Take a look at Apple's...

Re: What\'s best computer for 001 these days?

I believe that **only** the current low-end G5 (dual 1.8 GHz) supports standard PCI cards, like the one the 001 comes with. Can anyone confirm that the DIGI001 works with that particular G5?

Re: Phone Recordings

Forget to mention that the THAT-2 does have XLR in and out, as well as (I believe) 1/4".... It's a nice unit -- you can separately control both the volume of the outgoing audio and incoming audio.

Re: protools le for digi 001 needed

You understand that version 5.* only works in OS9, and not in "classic" mode, right? Version 6.* works fine in OSX Panther.

Anyway, I believe you can go to the "Downloads" section of this website,...

Re: Phone Recordings

I use the THAT-2 by JK Audio:

Seems to have the same specs as the Inline Patch. Strange. Anyway, it works fine for me.

Re: Can I use \"fsck -y\" on a dual-boot?

Yep, of course. I usually add a -f to mine, making it:

fsck -y -f

Works just fine.
