I've alreadyy psoted numerous reports that Dell laptops have firewire and Express card port issues.
Hp has laptops that work fine. And Digi has officially just listed 2 HP alptops as...

Hopefully when Digi decide on the compatible PCMCIA Firewire cards, the D820 will then be OK.
I bought the D820 last week primarily to use soft synths live on gigs....but it would good to...

I have an external FW/800 hard drive. Could you please explain how I can make my D820 have firewire at this speed?(rather than the standard FW/400) Is it with a PCMCIA card?
