Allen-

You might want to include a link to the firewire cards, AFAIK, the current mobo you are recommending does NOT have onboard firewire...

So these folks will have to purchase the card.

Update-

Did some real quick tweaks on the memory (like setting everything from auto to 222) and jumped to

Davec 32+26

- I got 36 seconds on 32+27...so getting close and not even...

An update on my system:

Asus A8v Deluxe
Athlon 64 3700+ (San Diego 1MB l2 socket 939)
2x512 (1gb) Mushkin Black 222 PC 3200 Winbond BH5
system SATA 120gb maxtor (2mb cache)
audio SATA 160 GB...

I should have also said that I am usually on the painful side of the bleeding edge...I could bear not to try out the Sandiego core chips!!!
