I don't think this MB would work for HD3. The PCI slots would need to be right next to each other for the HD cards to work. It would probably be great for HD2 though.

Our computer is set-up in a machine room, so I've never really paid attention to the noise level. It does seem pretty quiet though.

In the MB manual it is labeled as slot 1, the one closest to the edge of the MB.

You can squeeze out a little more memory (about 2.5G) for Pro Tools HD8 by using the 3G switch. :cool:
