Allen is putting it together. All I know is it's based on the new Athlon 64 4000 CPU. I'm sure he will soon have the parts list at the 1st post in this thread. Keep watching!

I suspect the Intel thread has been archived by digidesign in one of its famous "routine maintenance" activities. I know the FS forum has recently had a bunch of old posts pared.

AFAIK, Tom's Hardware does not run benchmark tests on Digidesign applications. The Asus boards are proven performers with Digi PTLE. Digi PTLE has been noticeably finicky with what it plays well...

Just for the record, this wasn't a system I have tested; it's one I'm looking at in comparison to a Centrino laptop solution. A very similar system was tested by Regeneration on the PT Performance...

Both the AMD and P4 systems' parts list were updated as of October 11, 2003. The only part that might be near-impossible to obtain is the discontinued A7V333-X or A7V333 FSB333 Motherboard in the AMD...

BTW, I'm still interested in what kind of results the new 3200 "64 bit" CPU will achieve on a 32 bit system. Doesn't this require a special mobo? I know this is unsupported by Digi, but I'll bet...
