Just use the standard Zalman 9700 heatsink. They work great and you can adjust the fan speed for noise.

I am using 4 each of the Kingston KVR667D2S4P5/1G. It is working with no problems! Good luck with your build.

Just wanted to add that the Opteron chips that are supported in the Tyan S2927 are B3 stepping. The earlier Barcelona chips suffered from the TLD bug. The part number for the chip should end in BGH...

I'm using two 2350's with my Tyan Motherboard. Working just fine. If you are not able to boot what bios code are you getting? There are a few things you can try to find out if you have a bad opteron...

Tyan service was excellent! I can't stress that enough. The number for the RMA department is (510) 651-8868 x5170. they require that you have a tech request set up first through their service request...

Might want to check if you have connected the 4 Pin Power connector from the power supply to the motherboard as this supplies power to the CPU. if it is not connected it will do exactly as you...

The Phenoms processors you have speced out will not work with the motherboard. The phenoms are socket AM2. You need to spec a Socket F Opteron processor with the latest B3 stepping. the opteron 2347...
