Similar thing here but there were 2 local drives with the same name.. ejected one and restarted pro tools and all was good

Ive had this problem for a while but have just been using workarounds... quite often there is distortion added to my signal at the monitor section of the omni. if i bypass the monitor section...

aha!

i stand corrected!

so if i set my digital 1&2 inputs to spdif i gain the use of all 8 adat inputs. i then use an optical to spdif converter for the mac sound and I'm away!

Thanks mate but i think the real problem is with the omni being limited to using only 8 inputs at a time. i currently use 1-4 as analogue and 5-8 as adar so i can't use the spdif input at the same...

that poses the same problem..

as it stands i use inputs 1 - 4 as analogue and input 5 - 8 as adat

unfortunately this doesn't leave any inputs available for mac sound (damn the omni! ;-) so i...

Ive always worked like this (optical out of mac to optical in of the omni) but i now need to use the omnis optical input in adat format..

anyone got any other method for getting the mac sound out...

Thats interesting Firechild - with adc off its about 360 samples early on my system but with adc on its 370-375 samples early... so that 10 - 15 samples your getting with adc on is the same here -...

what do you mean bypass delay report on click track?

the click track shows 9 samples of delay but im not aware...

then i went back to 8.03 which wouldnt boot.

i had this happen on the 8 core westmere - i tried reinstalling to older versions of pt8 with no success - in the end i disconnected the omni interface i was using and replaced it with a 192 - pro...
