Thanks for the followup zedhead.

I read checked up the BIOS and RAM timings, and there shouldnt be any problems there. I've also heard that 3x4 RAM chips is better, but that will have to be done...

Thanks for the reply.

I tried it, and its still slow. It halts when loading "setting up MIDI" for about 2 minutes. In a session the cpu is working its ass off.

btw i have no MIDI connected.

I also saw that the RCA cable should be 75ohm, unfortunately the ones i bought dont state any of these info. I've read that even with cheap RCA cables i should get a signal, only...

Atleast i dont see any ADAT IO, only mbox2, and the internal/spdif.

No, that didnt work.

I see no movement in the "signal bar", so it seems there is no signal there.
Should the spdif be flashing like it does?

I have buffer 256 on, (64 makes the systemmeter go crazy, and 128 is probably the buffer i will use recording). The other settings is default from installment of PT8. I havnt bought a external drive...

Thanks for the answer.

I can accept the fact eleven is a cpu hog, but 50% of a rather fast macbookpro is crazy! Anyone else that can confirm this shocking fact?
