hi marianna. it wasnt just 1 plugin.
it was all VI's
but the video in my initial post was XLN addictive drums 2 (interacting with Autotune) - which i've been using with no issues in PT for over 8...

same midi delay issue here. except it was 2024.3 that had the issue. rolling back to 2023.12.1 fixed it. avid tech support said it was most likely a "3rd party plugin". how can that be if it's fine...

yes.

had a 2 hour call with Tech Support and their recommendation was to roll back to 2023.12.1
they suggested it's the fault of a 3rd party plugin.
oh well - wont get to use the new PT...

since upgrading to 2024.3 from 2023.12.1
PT midi input now has major latency with any plugin (like autotune) on the session
hard bypass the plugin and midi records in time.
otherwise everything...

I'm currently using 1 PT HDX card in a Sonnet Echo III TB2 with TB2/TB3 adapter to a mac studio and all is good but....

might there be any speed benefit to get a newer Sonnet TB3 Chassis, or this...

2023.9 HDX/Monterey - after committing any track or bouncing a mix, the entire song goes out of time - like delay compensation got wacked out. close and reopen the session and everything's fine...

for those interested, i rolled back to 2023.6 and the problem went away.
to reiterate:
in 2023.9 - after committing any track or bouncing a mix, the entire song goes out of time like delay...

Updated to 2023.9.0 this morning on my mac studio/with expansion chassis HDX card.
worked all day on a bunch of songs.
almost every time right after committing a track, everything goes out of time....

they DO NOT reset to original.. its as if the MD data shifted and the audio was playing back later (a few seconds) than it should.
it was a tripled lead vocal and they should be synced up but no,...

just happened again. lost a ton of work (but was able to get it back with some futzing).

edited a bunch of melodyne ARA vocal tracks last night.
bounced the mix. sounded fine.
next morning...

to be fair it scared me so much, other than taking a screen shot of the "Melodyne data can't be found" load up screen, as soon as i heard the vocals out of time i quit & went back to a previous older...

just happened again on a project that has no tempo changes.
worked on the song lots of melodyne edits, bounced a good sounding mix last night.
opened the same session this AM and its F'd....

had the same MELODYNE UNDO issue a few times.
after hundreds of edits, 1 UNDO took it all down. it removed melodyne from the track (not my choice) and it was as if i'd never done any edits.... crazy...

same issue here.. just lost a ton of tuning/timing work and now i dont trust the rest of the tracks that seem to be playing ok. unreal. this is super un-pro (tools). got no work around except to do...

this is nuts. just worked on 8 tracks vocal tuning/timing in PT. saved... bounced a rough mix. all good.
a few days later i open up the same song, same rig and get a warning that SOME MELODYNE DATA...

just tested a new PT doc
1 recorded a test vocal
2 engaged melodyne ARA and tuned a few notes

no Melodyne Transfer Folder was created.
