Re: CPU Overloads and Crackling Playback

You remove all plugins, Pro tools puts back the core ones, you test. If it works OK you suspect a plugin or plugins that was removed was likely a problem. If it does not work OK you know there is a...

Re: CPU Overloads and Crackling Playback

Hi welcome to DUC.

Start by reading "Help us help you" up the top of every DUC web page.

Did this ever work OK? What changed? Did it work OK on previous computers for you?

Make sure *every...

Re: Back and Play available in artist?

Post in whatever the best forum is for your control surface, Eddie will likely appear. Not sure how much he watches the other forum areas.

Re: Back and Play available in artist?

I suspect (hope) you are going to get more traction complaining to the EUCON side of the house... maybe time to chase down Eddie Jones.

Re: compress dolby or dts output over optical cable?

Also hopefully it's clear what your role is in the production, even if it's a bunch of friends shooting a first movie.

a.g. Are you only adding background music? Doing voice editing? Special...

Re: What determines the delay compensation of a plugin?

And depending on what you mean by track latency, the IO buffer or disk playback buffer also add latency at input and output. As do latencies in the analog to digital and digital to analog...

Re: What determines the delay compensation of a plugin?

It has nothing to do with CPU performance, audio latency is happening many orders of magnitude slower than CPUs work at. Latency is caused by the internal plugin algorithm, if the plugin is...

Re: compress dolby or dts output over optical cable?

I am not a movie/video person but...

You have TOSLINK optical output and want to run a surround sound format on that. You can't do that with S/PDIF over TOSLINK... that's stereo only and the only...

Re: 2022.9 Assertion error line 142

If this is affecting you and you want a fix please file a support incident for this... get it assigned to a bug. If you have incident or bug numbers post 'em here.

Far too many things get mention...

Re: HD IO - 16 Analog Inputs plus SPDIF inputs

OK gotcha I misunderstood you were running off HD Native cards.

You can find 192 IO with Digital cards used at very good prices (~$350)... that's what I would do if I was sure I did not likely to...

Re: Music randomly stops playing unless Playback Engine Buffer size is changed

You are running an unsupported Pro Tools/Windows config.

And you are chasing this behavior that is well (no audio, change IO buffer size to bring it back) known to hit folks at times, AFAIK it's...

Re: HD IO - 16 Analog Inputs plus SPDIF inputs

There is very clearly a limit of 64 IO on HD Native, as stated *everywhere* in the product specs and documentation.

Not sure what you mean by "in parallel".

Hardware Setup lets map the chassis...

Re: Post-Roll keeps de-selecting - What have I pressed by accident?

Have you tried trashing prefs?

What *exactly* happens? The yellow post roll cursor disappears? or turns white?

How are you selecting the clip. Clicking on with mouse with hand tool/cursor?

Re: Could not complete your request because std::exception.

After talking with Pete Gates he added that capability back into PT Prefs several years ago. My utility is still probably downloadable on my website, I have not checked in years, but PT Prefs is the...

Re: Could not complete your request because std::exception.

Sounds like a good catch. How is that different? Where were the old sessions that would not open? You mean if you just connected the old external drive they would not open on that? But they do if...

Re: Please help - AAE error -7054 - AAX 64 issue

This has been going on for 5 months now? What has the plugin vendor said or done about this? They are in the best situation to provide help.

Re: Could not complete your request because std::exception.

That error message ain't going to be any help. You need to troubleshoot.

You say migrating, I hope you are not ignoring all the advice posted on DUC and actually trying to use migration assistant...

Re: Back and Play available in artist?

Flex is a marketing package around Ultimate. Ultimate very much still exists as the Pro Tools product in Flex.

Re: Apollo DUO - "The computer was in sleep mode..."

USB sleep/power management disabled?

Sounds like an error from the UAD box/software not from Pro Tools. Why don't you ask UAD about this?

Re: No input received in Pro Tools Intro

I expect it's working as (badly) designed. Pro Tools Intro supports 4 inputs, it's only allowing that to be the first 4 physical inputs and has no way built in to manage that mapping. All pretty...
