Re: Stereo to 5.1 upmixing plugs

Yes, using large buffers is unfortunately a requirement for our plugs at this point. Keep in mind that using a dual mono instance is noticeably lighter on overall system usage than using a stereo...

Re: Stereo to 5.1 upmixing plugs

Then this solution isn't for you, for sure ;-)

Phantom center vs. explicit C signals for music is really somewhat a matter of personal preference.

But I'd think that no currently available...

Re: Stereo to 5.1 upmixing plugs

Certainly not as convenient as a dedicated upmixing solution, but if you're familiar with the workflow I'd estimate setting this up to be around 20-30 seconds. But do try it, the *sound* is very,...

Re: Stereo to 5.1 upmixing plugs

No - set the signal that you route to the front to be direct signal only (FOCUS at max) and the signal going to the rear to be reverb only (FOCUS at minimum).

So you're splitting the signal up...

Re: Stereo to 5.1 upmixing plugs

You can use UNVEIL to upmix. What's cool about using UV for that is that the fold-down will give you your stereo mix back 100% accurately, with nothing being added or removed as you'll only be using...

Zynaptiq UNVEIL and UNFILTER AAX Native 64

Hi all,

just a short heads-up that we've updated UNVEIL (http://www.zynaptiq.com/unveil/) and UNFILTER (http://www.zynaptiq.com/unfilter/), adding AAX Native 64 support - so you can now use our...

Re: Alternative to BarbaBatch?

+1 on Sample Manager. Very affordable and you can get the advanced iZotope SRC and Dither as add-on for it.

Re: Zynaptiq UNVEIL 1.5 adds AAX support

Hey all,

just a short heads-up that UNVEIL v1.6 (http://www.zynaptiq.com/unveil/) is now available, which adds AudioSuite preview in PT 10.3.3 or newer, and EuCon support for the RTAS version,...

We're happy to announce UNVEIL (http://www.zynaptiq.com/unveil/) version 1.6 heh

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

That's correct, you can move your licenses around if there's internet access. But we do see how an iLok or iLok-like solution would be more convenient and are looking into that.

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

The demo is fully functional and doesn't expire, but stops working after 10 minutes (requiring a re-instantiation), doesn't save settings and has some nag screens & a short fade-out every couple of...

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

No, we're actually not running a deconvolution. Still, more information is generally always better when decisions are to be made. The idea of analyzing a known impulse response is on the list of...

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

We're looking into iLok as alternative CP. Can't actually promise anything just yet, but let me just say that we're aware of the fact that many people in post would benefit from an iLok based system.

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

Glad to hear that! I'm a big sci-fi nut, so I'd like to hear more about that project (and watch the series, actually) once you're at liberty to talk about it.

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

We're looking into this now, yes. Re-enabling the Preview button would be easy if it turns out that the issue is fixed.

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

That'd be quite cool, huh? Now if that function came as part of a reverb that allows dynamically positioning a source within the room described by that IR because it automatically extracted room...

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

I can relate to what you're saying WRT "setting it up". The parameters do do well-defined things, and their interaction is inherently logical --- but as the process works rather differently than most...

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

Hmm, well actually it does work with musical signals rather well. You do need to adjust parameters to fit the signal, and there can be some learning curve involved as there are no...

Re: Zynaptiq UNVEIL 1.5 adds AAX support

Not really - UNVEIL was introduced in May & there was an introductory discount back then.

That being said, there is currently a promo running for Gearlsutz.com forum members. P.M. me (Denis...

Re: Bye bye roomy dialog.

As Vedat pointed out, the two use very different technology, and the results are thus also very different.

UNVEIL uses pattern recognition and a proprietary de-mixing engine to discern and isolate...

*grin* Actually, the pressure wasn't needed as AAX was on the roadmap anyway :D

Thanks for starting this thread!

Re: Zynaptiq UNVEIL 1.5 adds AAX support

Thanks for adding our De-Reverberator to the AAX list!
On a side note, it also supports RTAS, and the AAX version has AS, too (though currently without real-time preview capability).

Cheers,...
