Project SAM has some stomps in their VARIOUS FREEBIES package that are really cool. Probably more useful for big cinematic percussion than Foley type sounds though.

NI says it should perform equally in 7.4 and 8.

I think the original, like the one in the tutorial, only allowed for 8 instruments per instance. Then Garritan leased the Kontakt Player from NI and things got updated. He's built his own engine now,...

There are lots of great sounding orchestra vi's that are easy to use. They all sound different and most have there own, unique way of handling workflow.

Listen to the demos and decide which one...

Good idea, but I pulled the drives and fortunately I have the CC firmware, which is not affected by the problems.

Is the 1.5TB drive you have a ST31500341AS?? Since I'm on a Mac, I can't check my firmware with Seagate's DriveDetect. It would be nice to know if I'm affected, since I just installed 2 of these...
